An accomplished scholar, he completed his post-graduation from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan, with a gold medal. After serving as a college lecturer, he renounced material life and joined ISKCON Vrindavan in 1981, later becoming a disciple of HH Tamal Krishna Goswami. Maharaj has dedicated his life to preaching Krishna consciousness across India, especially among youth and educated sections of society. He has served in key leadership roles including President of ISKCON Govardhan, Life Patron Director, and is presently serving as Zonal Secretary for Odisha (Central & South). He took sannyasa in 2003 and became an initiating spiritual master in 2007.
